Subject: Donated Crucifix in 1965

Hi,

My name is Gavin Maguire. I am a sports teacher in a school in Dublin Ireland called St.Conleth's College. We are going on an expedition to Zambia nad Botswana this summer but this is not why I am getting in touch. In 19964/5 my Granmother died (when my dad was only 13) After her death my grandad was reading about Zambia getting its independance and was very intrigued with it. So much so he sent a crucifix to Roma gorls schools. they recieved the crucifix on the eve of independance. Myself and my dad are very interested in finding where the crucifix is now and seeing as i will be in Zambia this summer i thought would be very good if i could get to see it. I dont know if this rings a bell with anyone at the school or if anyone know where the crucifix mite be ! I have attached a copy of the letter that my grandad recived from the schools! Even if you dont know where the crucifix is i would really like to visit the school!

Hope to hear from you soon

Kind regards

--
Gavin Maguire
